Accepting the Manifesting Generators in Our Lives (Poem)
In the city I live in there are many paths.
And I don’t mean that figuratively.
Between my flat and my coworking- there are many options to take.
You can drive straight ahead, and turn left after 7 blocks, driving up to the coworking.
You can start with a turn right, driving all the way up to a left turn.
Or you can zigzag in between.
That is, at least, how I see it.
But my ex, a 5/1 Manifesting Generator, saw this path very differently.
At times we would surround the whole town, just because he “likes to be in the van”. Other times we would travel first to the bottom of the mountain, to “get inspired before working”. (Procrastination?)
And one time he drove us out of town completely, to an end-of-the-road path behind a town nearby, with me screaming with my Manifestor Throat “Are you insane??? You have a meeting to get to!!”.
But he didn’t care. He wanted to take me to this view point we once traveled to by mistake, cause there are cows there, and I love cows.
I wanted to get to work.
We got in the van- and his intention PIVOTED.
We’ll get to work, but first- we will have a good morning.
When writing Blueprints of the Soul, my Human Design Poetry book, this was one of the first poems that came out of me. And it was that day, that missed meeting, and those cows- that inspired me to write it.
So, to all of the beautiful Mani-gens in my life… This one’s for you…
Love Me For The Scenic Route
If you want me to stay close,
don’t call me lost just because I change lanes.
I am gathering,
I am weaving a tapestry
with every detour I take.
Don’t shrink my world
to just the things we have in common.
I love you even more -
when we dance to different songs.
I crave variety like it is oxygen.
Please don’t interrupt unless your need
is bigger than my focus -
because my mind and hands
are already juggling a universe.
Know this:
I judge myself more than you ever could.
I am my own critic,
and my own celebration.
If I take the longer road,
it’s because I want to show you the sunsets
you might have missed,
if you went straight.
Let me know if you see yourself in this poem, if you’re a Manifesting Generator that feels “YES! This is why I take the longer route!”, or if this poem makes you see a Mani-Gen in your life a little bit differently.
Either way, whichever type you hold, I hope you’ll never forget to enjoy the road.

This feels like a line 3!
